Living faith church popularly known as 'winners' chapel in Otukpo was thrown into pandemonium on Sunday when aggrieved members dragged the pastor from the alter while he yet preached.
A source which pleaded anonymity said that the actions of the members are as a result of the resident pastor Fayemi's gross misconduct, which in particular was not stated.
The news landed on facebook and other platforms by some of the church members who said they could no longer bear his atrocities.
We're therefore forced to ask and dig deep to find out why this happened. Some analyst opined that this could not possibly happen if Pastor Fayemi has not erred. They further stated that, to hold up their argument, in some churches where similar cases occurred, if the pastor were right in his disposition, a faction will definitely be in his support, say the youth, women or even the elders, but in this case, the whole church stood against him. We can in a way justify the action of the church members.
But then, what's this particular 'thing' he did that warranted his being removed from the alter while preaching?
Could it be he was saying something the members believe to be wrong or right?
Could he be saying something he does not practice or does practice?
Is he too enriched to the detriments of the members?
All these questions and many more we ask?
In all we are to accept that for this to have happened, his offence is really a gross one. Right?
In my own opinion, I think, it has to do with indiscipline and other related issues.
