Manchester city has been banned for European football for two years following a breach of rules. Uefa claimed that Man city commited serious breaches of Uefa's club licensing and fair play.
This decision by Uefa was made after it was said that Manchester city failed to co-operate during investigations being carried out.
Manchester city was banned because of
"overstating its sponsorship revenue in its accounts and in the break-even information submitted to Uefa between 2012 and 2016", adding that the club "failed to cooperate in the investigation".
Manchester City has hereby expressed their frustration as they said they were disappointed by the decision but were clearly not surprised at all. They have hereby said they would appeal to uplift the ban. The reigning premier league champions have also been fined 30m euros
