Man City ban from champions league for 2 years

Manchester city has been banned for European football for two years following a breach of rules. Uefa claimed that Man city commited serious breaches of Uefa's club licensing and fair play.
This decision by Uefa was made after it was said that Manchester city failed to co-operate during investigations being carried out.
Manchester city was banned because of
"overstating its sponsorship revenue in its accounts and in the break-even information submitted to Uefa between 2012 and 2016", adding that the club "failed to cooperate in the investigation".
Manchester City has hereby expressed their frustration as they said they were disappointed by the decision but were clearly not surprised at all. They have hereby said they would appeal to uplift the ban. The reigning premier league champions have also been fined 30m euros

BSU STRIKE: Benue State University May Not Resume Anytime Soon (SHOCKING

By Ahokegh T Collins
The Academic staff Union of Universities ASUU BSU chapter and its sister Union the Non Academic staff Union of Universities NASUU yesterday turned down the appeal the government of Benue state made calling on them to resume work while their grievances are looked into.

Speaking with some union officials on phone who prefer to remain anonymous explained that they turned down the appeal the government made because they have remained on same spot. 'Government has refused to play blues, what we have heard so far is reggae and that is insensitive on their part'. They said if government was serious with their appeals, they would have shifted grounds, and not just the 'we don't have money' of a statement.
Recall that the committee set up by the Benue State Government to negotiate with the striking unions to resume work had a meeting mid last week and presented the government side which clearly meant that government cannot meet up with their requests at the moment because of paucity of funds. The government however appealed with the both Union officials to resume work while the government fashion out ways to respond to their plights. The Union officials did not hesitate but pleaded to communicate the government appeals to their general Congresses for a collective decision.

It was on this note that the unions had their Congresses yesterday but refused to honour the appeals of government citing obvious reasons ranging from insensitivity, longevity and negligence on the part of government.

At the moment, the Benue populace can only feel pity for the students who will have to be incarcerated longer than imagined as the academic session will surely be reviewed upon resumption. As it stands, no side has presented facts worth overlooking.
I however will advise the striking unions to look at the appeal again and give government an ultimatum to meet up with their demands as they have promised while they call off the strike. Calling off the strike at this stage will be the most important thing to the students who are praying not to be stagnated, the parents and the government who from inception has shown positive signals to prevent the tertiary education from unwarranted industrial actions.

Jose Mourinho confirms Luke Shaw and Chris Smalling will miss Manchester United v Tottenham

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has confirmed the absence of two key defenders in Luke Shaw and Chris Smalling for this weekend’s game against Tottenham

The Red Devils are in desperate need of a victory this weekend after just two wins in their last ten Premier League matches, and a run of three draws in a row.Tottenham have some potent attacking players in Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen, but it looks like United will have to take them on without Shaw and Smalling, who have not been deemed fit enough to return for this one.

‘Not Sunday, no,’ Mourinho said when asked if the pair could make this Sunday’s game at Old Trafford.Smalling has been out of action since United’s 4-0 defeat at Chelsea in October, while Shaw has been in and out of Mourinho’s starting XI for much of the season so far.

Breaking news:Benue state university drastically reduced their hiked fees

After several days of negotiation, the students and
management of Benue State University, Makurdi
have reached a compromise on issue of
conditional charges. The University had, a month
ago, introduced new high conditional charges
which increased the school fees by over 400%.

been reviewd.

undergraduates, and N30,000 for postgraduates;
Now N10,000 (Payable once).

courses, and N50,000 for College of Health
Sciences, Law & Management Sciences; Now
N15,000 for other courses, and N20,000 for
College of Health Sciences, Law &
Management Sciences (Payable once).
Accreditation (New): Previously N15,000 for other
courses, and N30,000 for College of Health Sci,
Law & Management Sciences; Now N10,000 for

N50,000; Now N10,000 Fees for result verification
remained unchanged N5,000, however that for
Post-UTME was increased from N3,000 to N4,000.
The President of the Students’ Union, Comrade
Martins Orjime expressed satisfaction with the
outcome of the negotiation. “What we were crying
out was that the charges were outrageous. We
were not calling for a total removal but a reduction
and as it is now, we have come to terms with
the management and Chairman of Governing
Council on these charges. “It may not be
favourable to everybody but at least we have made
sure that we are in equilibrium. Not everybody will
be satisfied with it but I believe it’s better than
what we had” He said.
He added that the University will announce the
new figures in due course, after which normal
activities will resume on campus. When asked
what becomes of those who had already paid
acceptance fees at the old higher rates, Comrade
Orjime said, ” the money will be transferred as
school fees so thatthe student can balance up or it
will be refunded.”
This calls for celebration at least, this is bearable
against the previous fees. Please share to help
other students get the information as soon as
possible.

Do you love Africa?

My AFRICA
Africa was a peaceful scene where love and
harmonious living reigned. But the whites came
and introduced the life of self-sufficiency by
building for themselves high walled fences with
barbed wire and electrified fence with a very large
gate with the inscription "BEWARE OF DOGS". This
they did just to scare away my African brothers...
But they had to leave, and they did leave

with
those traces of bad omen behind and some of my
African brothers who have been brainwashed took
over.
Today, Africa no longer enjoy the former house to
house kind of living.
Why did u forget that Africa is a beautiful place
with our kind of living?
Why did you quickly get to believe that if you don't
change your name or have a batsima name, you
won't get to heaven.
Who made you believed that you show your beauty
by exposing your nakedness?
Who told you to artificiate your eyes, boobs, and
everything. Africa is black, black is beautiful and
natural.
Africa please change. Let's return, the status quo
is better than this awkward change.
Do you love Africa? Share if you do...
